How long are you going to wait to tell your story?
Or write that poem? What about that great idea for a screenplay or stage script? The memoir about your great grandmother? The biography on an artist from the past? The travel or food blog you've wanted to create? It's possible you yearn to unfold your authentic voice but you have no idea what genre you should work in. Maybe you just need someone to read what you've written and respond.
It's time to stop procrastinating and move forward.
One of the greatest challenges of writing is the feeling of being lost, wandering around on the blank page. Writers write in isolation, but you needn't feel alone in the creative process. You have the opportunity to create artistic fulfillment as well as build an artistic community. Allow me to assist you in that process, lending you years of writing and teaching experience, as well as a deep passion for the written word and the beauty that the visual offers us.
Let's work together to create a non-competitive MFA style workshop with other community members who have the same desire to fulfill an artistic dream. My favorite approach is the multi-genre approach, yet I also offer individual genre classes (see workshops and contact link) I will facilitate the workshops with spontaneous exercises, take home journeys, focused approaches, and interactive feedback from the other participants, followed by my final suggestions and critiques of the work you create during our classes.
Upcoming Fall Workshops: Memory and Metaphor: At the Cameron Art Museum. Register at the Cameron directly for a 6 week course beginning on Nov. 1, 2012.
